Project Overview
MEP engineering for the Whittier Trust project supports the renovation of approximately 31,977 rentable square feet (RSF) across the 5th and 8th floors of an existing office building located at 177 Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California.
The tenant improvement transforms the office into a modern financial services workplace featuring collaborative workspaces, employee amenities, advanced technology infrastructure, and wellness-focused spaces. Specialized areas include multiple lunchrooms, a parents and wellness room, coffee stations, and a mission-critical IT/server room requiring dedicated cooling and emergency backup power.
Project Scope
MEP engineering services include HVAC design, electrical power design, lighting design, and plumbing design for the complete renovation of both office floors. Building systems are designed to support private offices, open workspaces, collaboration areas, employee amenities, and specialized support spaces while integrating with the existing building infrastructure.
The project also includes engineering for a 24/7 IT/server room with supplemental cooling and emergency generator backup, access control infrastructure for suite entry doors, and plumbing for multiple employee support areas.
